Places available on Exeter University's Primary Enrichment Outreach Programme

Published Thursday 28th, February 2019

Places are now available for lucky KS2 pupils on the University of Exeter's Primary Enrichment Outreach Programme

They are currently taking bookings for the Spring programme which runs from 6th – 16th March.

This programme of events is designed for pupils in KS2, offering exciting and inspiring learning opportunities across national curriculum subjects.

They offer an exciting and comprehensive range of one-day activities for children across Key Stage 2, from Years 3 to 6, across the Autumn, Spring and Summer term.

The programme aims to encourage and develop the progression, attainment and aspiration of school age pupils and is specifically aimed at engaging pupils who demonstrate a particular interest, skill or potential in specific subject areas. The hope is that pupils further their passion and understanding for their subject; feel inspired by practical, hands-on learning activities and meet like-minded peers, all within the context of a Higher Education setting.

This Enrichment Programme was first established in 2007 in collaboration with Bath and Plymouth Universities, and solely at the University of Exeter since 2010. In that time they have brought together the knowledge, expertise and experience of their tutors and lecturers to provide high quality teaching and learning experiences.

Past courses have included such activities as creative writing about nature, Taiko Drumming, Forensic Science and Geometry taught through the art of Origami. They are always interested to hear your feedback regarding our courses, so do get in touch with them if you have any ideas for new courses!
